Never To Late
Life has a way of pushing you forward – even when you do not feel like you are ready to go. This week I had the beautiful opportunity of attending a “Writers” conference. Originally I believed that I was attending this event to become a writer and yet I recognize that God had another thought in mind.
The three days that I spent with many published and non-published writers were absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed seeing many of my friends and meeting new people as each person was on a search for what the next step to life and their journey would be.
However, what inspired me most was attending this special event with my mother. My mother continues to lean in on her quest for what God is calling her to do as she embraces her season of the empty nest. She continues to read and attend selected events as she continues to seek and better understand what her next step is and what GOD has in store for her. I loved watching her zeal and excitement as she listened to new perspectives, thought leaders, and opportunities for writers.
Over the last few years my mother has taught me that it is never too late and you can continue to be a learner no matter where you are and when you start. The key is to be open and take action. Daily I am seeking God for direction and next steps and the answer I received during this conference was not the answer I was looking for from GOD. However, through my mother and her real time example in my life – I am totally ready to embrace this one thing – IT IS NEVER TO LATE to do what GOD has asked of me!!!
